Modern Greek Fellowship
A Foreign Languages and Area Studies Fellowship is available annually from the European Union Center to study Modern Greek. Two levels of the language (Beginner and Intermediate) are currently offered through the Department of Linguistics. Applications for the AY 2011-12 are due February 11, 2012, and informational sessions will be held on November 16 and December 1, 2011, for interested students. Fall Course Options: Intro Swedish & Scandinavian Gen Eds
Students are warmly welcomed to introductory Swedish, SCAN 101, which has a seats available. This is an interactive, communicative class taught by an award-winning instructor, Dr. Mark Safstrom. Students enrolled in this class and the Swedish Language Sequence (SCAN 101-104) report good camaraderie, including as part of the extra-curricular student-run organization the Scandinavian Club.
