Are you confused about US academic writing?
Do you wonder what your writing assignments mean?
Do you struggle to talk with your professors and classmates about writing?
Are you unsure about the US conventions of using sources?
Then you need Navigating Academic Writing, free writing groups hosted by the Writers Workshop. These groups are specifically for ESL writers and will meet in 4-week sessions. Topics include understanding different kinds of writing tasks, understanding instructors' responses, using sources, and reading and note-taking strategies.
In order to participate, you must attend the informational meeting on September 8 (Thursday) at 3:30pm to sign up and you must attend all four sessions. Students who have participated in Navigating Academic Writing in the past are not eligible.
